Transfer Cart Rail Track
Description:
The commonly used rails for electric transfer carts are mainly P‑shaped rails and QU‑shaped rails. Ordinary light rails are used in a few light‑duty applications. The standard gauges are 762 mm and 1435 mm. Heavy‑duty applications use large‑section rails plus reinforced concrete foundations. Low‑voltage powered models require rail insulation and grounding.

Rail Types and Selection:
1.1 Rail Types (by load capacity)

Light‑duty (1–10 t flat cars): P15, P18, P22, P24 (light rails / crane rails). Small section, light weight, suitable for light handling in workshops.

Medium‑duty (10–30 t): P30, P38, P43, P50 (most commonly used). Moderate strength, standard configuration for KP/KPD/KPX series.

Heavy‑duty (30–150 t+): QU70, QU80, QU100, QU120 (crane rails / heavy rails). Wide head, wear‑resistant, impact‑resistant, suitable for heavy loads, high frequency, long distances.

Rail Installation:
2.1 Foundation

Concrete: C30 for light‑duty, C35–C40 for heavy‑duty.

Heavy‑duty: Strip foundation / embedded steel plates / steel mesh under rails to prevent settlement.

Curing: Rails to be installed only after concrete is fully cured (≥ 28 days).
2.2 Installation Accuracy (critical)

Gauge: ±2 mm

Levelness: ≤ 1 mm/m; relative height difference between two rails ≤ 8 mm

Straightness: ≤ 1‰, total length ≤ 10 mm

Joints: Gap: 2–4 mm (expansion joint)Height difference and misalignment: ≤ 1 mm

Fixing: Clips / embedded bolts; spacing: light‑duty ≤ 600 mm, heavy‑duty ≤ 400 mm.
